Abstract : In a field experiment at the Agricultural Research Station, Ramanathapuram, Tamil Nadu, 6 fodder crops were grown with fruit trees (guavas, custard apple (Annona squamosa) and mangoes). Yields of the fodder crops, deenanath [Pennisetum pedicellatum], pillipesara [Vigna aconitifolia], Stylosanthes, sangupoo [?], fodder cholam [sorghum] and fodder cowpeas were decreased as fruit tree growth increased during the second year. Among the fodder crops, Stylosanthes and deenanath showed greatest compatibility with the above fruit trees.
