Abstract : Incidence of powdery mildew (Oidium mangiferae) in the major mango producing areas of the Pakistan Punjab varied from 0 to 70%. Among protective fungicides, triadimenol (as Bayfidan), tridemorph (as Calixin), fenarimol (as Rubigan) and triadimefon (as Bayleton) were highly effective and reduced powdery mildew by 74.92, 74.27, 74.27 and 72.50%, respectively. The least effective fungicides were pyrazophos (as Afugan), Spotless and mancozeb (as Nemispor) and these resulted in a 17.19, 15.71 and 11.86% reduction in disease incidence, respectively. Of the 5 curative fungicides tested against the disease, triadimefon, tridemorph and triadimenol were the most effective in reducing disease intensity as these caused 88.33, 88.16 and 88.16% reduction in disease incidence compared with the control, respectively.
