Germplasm resources in Vietnam: major horticultural and industrial crops.

Abstract : This paper describes some of the most important horticultural and industrial crop species found in Vietnam and incorporates a review of how that germplasm is being conserved. Information on wild relatives and their utilization is presented for taro (including Colocasia, Alocasia, Amorphophallus and Cyrtosperma), yams, bananas, citrus fruits, mangoes, bamboo, coconuts, sugarcane and tea.
