Mr. R.J. Garner was for many years a member of the staff of the East Malling Research Station and is recognized as a foremost authority on vegetative propagation. Dr. S.A. Chaudhri, of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, writes fully and expertly on mango propagation; the other authors are, or have been, members of the Commonwealth Bureau of Horticulture and Plantation Crops. The book contains some 48 line drawings illustrating the methods of propagation, and comprehensive bibliographies on these methods and on all the crops described.
