Abstract : The cultivation of mangoes in NE Brazil under irrigated conditions is described. Cultivars used are Tommy Atkins, Haden, Van Dyke, Keitt, and Kent. Propagation methods are described, as well as cultivation techniques, plant nutrition, flowering and fructification, irrigation, and control of insect pests and plant diseases. A fructification index and postharvest treatment are also described.
