Abstract : Mature Amrapali mango fruits were dipped in 50 ppm gibberellic acid (GA3) and/or 500 ppm Bavistin [carbendazim] and packed in perforated polyethylene bags or not packed, and subsequently stored at ambient temperature (33-37°C). Fruits treated with either Bavistin or GA3 and packed in perforated polythene bags had a storage life of 11 days (compared with 7 days in control fruits). Data are tabulated on changes in total sugar, reducing sugar and carotene contents during storage.
