Abstract : Mango cv. Bombay yielded 0.3 ml (0.03%) essential oil on steam distillation. Analysis of the isolates by GC and GC-MS resulted in the identification of 55 components. Of these, 44 were fully characterized. Caryophyllene epoxide (14.54%) was the most abundant sesquiterpene identified.
