Abstract : Mango fruits harvested with stalks (8-10 mm) can be stored successfully for up to 27 days (21 days at 12°C with 85-90% relative humidity and 6 days at ambient condition) in acceptable good condition with minimum spoilage compared with the control fruits (17 days). Treatment with CaCl2 delayed ripening, maintained fruit firmness and reduced spoilage, but cause browning and desiccation of sub-epicarpic tissues 1 week after storage at 12°C.
