Effect of Dormex (hydrogen cyanamide) on floral malformation in mango.

Abstract : In a field study in 1993-96 in New Delhi, trees of 8 mango cultivars were sprayed with 0.25, 0.5 or 1% a.i Dormex (hydrogen cyanamide). Applying Dormex at the time of flower-bud differentiation in the second week of October increased the floral malformation considerably in indigenous cv. Alphonso, Neelum, Samarbehist Chowsa and tolerant cv. Bhadauran as well as in exotic cv. Ametista, Extrema, Sensation and Tommy Atkins.
