Abstract : The following practices were evaluated for the control of stem-end rot of mango caused by Botryodiplodia theobromae in Costa Rica: elimination of prunings residues from the orchard floor before flowering; elimination of fruit latex at harvest by placing the fruit on a metal surface instead of directly on the floor; and harvesting and packing the fruit with one cm of pedicel. The treatments did not result in significant differences in stem-end rot.
