Abstract : The objective of this study was to determines the optimum number, size and location of mango processing plants in Kolar district, Karnataka, India, that minimize the combined cost of transport and processing. The results indicate that three plants, located at Srinivaspur, Chintamani and Kolar, would be optimal.
