Abstract : A survey to find out the extent of floral malformation, its intensity as affected by the age of the plants and varietal susceptibility was carried out in some important commercial cultivars of mango under Vaishali conditions (Bihar, India) in 1999. Survey work revealed that the different cultivars had varying degree of incidence. Cultivars Amrapali, Mallika and Bombai had a high degree of incidence of floral malformation, while it was low in cv. Baramasia. Young age group plants (6- to 12-years-old) showed the highest incidence of floral malformation compared to the medium age group (13- to 20-years-old) and old age group (21 years old and above).
