Abstract : The polyphagus predator Cantheconidea furcellata (Wolff) is recorded attacking larvae of Latoia lepida (Cram.) for the first time, from observations on infested mango trees in Karnataka, and its value as a natural enemy of the limacodid is discussed. Predacious behaviour in nymphs and adults is described and it is suggested from observations in the laboratory that the life-cycle occupies 15-18 days and adults live for up to 12 days.
