Abstract : In laboratory tests in Peru during 1972, there was no survival of an artificial infestation of an estimated population of 87 468 eggs and larvae of Anastrepha fraterculus (Wied.) in mango fruits following fumigation with ethylene dibromide at a rate of 16 g/m3 for 2 h at 27 deg C; the chamber load was 50% or less.
