Abstract : The biology, injuriousness and control of Aleurocanthus woglumi Ashby, which was introduced into Mexico at an unknown date and first recorded as a pest there in 1935, are described from the literature and observations in the field and laboratory in Mexico. The aleyrodid is primarily a pest of Citrus there, but also infests other fruit trees (especially mango and pear) and coffee. All stages in the life-history are described, together with measures used with success since about 1955 for control by means of introduced natural enemies.
