Abstract : The history, distribution and market value of (sub-)tropical fruit crops, including avocado, carambola, mango, litchi, Tahiti lime [Citrus latifolia] and sapote (Pouteria sapota), in South Florida, USA, are evaluated. Climate and soil type are specified, and disease and flooding problems are discussed.
