Abstract : The early-flowering mango cultivar Aiwen is often damaged by low spring temperatures. The results of trials indicated that changing the pruning time from August to September (and hence delaying the growth of autumn shoots) and removing the flower cluster at 5-10 cm length and allowing the new cluster to grow from the leaf axil could delay flowering.
