Abstract : The paper discusses the export potential of mangoes in Indonesia, the prospect for extending mango production in East Java, the marketing of East Java mango, and factors constraining the extension of the mango industry in East Java. It is concluded that East Java is the biggest potential province for producing mango in Indonesia. To support the extension programme, government involvement in developing a complete packing house, funding small farmers or entrepreneurs with low interest credit for improving cultivation management, and increasing market connections for exports are needed.
