Abstract : The mango stone weevil, Sternochetus mangiferae (Fab.) (Coleoptera: Curculionidae) is a major pest attacking several mango (Mangifera indica L.) varieties in India. This paper reviews the distribution, biology and management of the pest. Integrated pest management is discussed which ensures weevil-free fruits for exports and internal markets.
