Mango seed kernel can be incorporated up to 5-10 per cent in poultry feed.

Abstract : Mango seeds were dried in the sun and the kernels were ground. The meal had moisture 20.1, crude protein 5.6, crude fibre 2.0, ash 2.6 and N-free extract 56.9%. The basal diet given to 36 chickens for 8 weeks from day-old had 40% maize and 16% breadcrumbs. For 3 similar groups 5, 10 or 15% mango seed kernel meal replaced some of the breadcrumbs. All diets had 21% crude protein and 47% N-free extract. Final weights were 1016, 1026, 908 and 715 g, and efficiency was 2.39, 2.55, 2.81 and 3.39 kg feed/kg gain.
