Abstract : Mango is a fruit that cannot be stored for a long time. Peeling is often required during processing which requires a lot of labour. Actual peeling is completely manual in dehydration plants, increasing processing cost. Several mangoes (var. HADEN) were studied and their shape analysed in order to develop a machine which could orientate the fruit for optimum peeling.
