Abstract : The vegetative and floral behaviour of mango is outlined. Factors which influence the flowering process are discussed. These include: photoperiod and light level; temperature; gibberellins; auxins and cytokinins; ethylene; water stress; paclobutrazol; potassium sulfate; and nitrates. Three models are presented for artificial management of flowering on the basis of these factors.
