Abstract : This review focuses on physiology of flowering, fruit development and fruit drop, photosynthesis and translocation, dwarfing, in vitro propagation, and physiological disorders of mango. The different factors affecting flowering and fruiting in mango, i.e. shoot growth, maturity, C/N ratio, environmental factors, endogenous metabolites including hormones, intensity of blossoming and crop load, are discussed in detail. Future prospects in physiological research are provided.
