Abstract : Seasonal changes in endogenous growth substances in Langra (biennial) and Baramasia (regular) mango stems and leaves are shown in graph form. The presence of several growth substances was indicated and p-hydroxybenzoic acid was detectecd in both free and bound forms. A very active growth inhibitor was tentatively identified as abscisic acid or a closely related compound.
