Abstract : Powdery mildew (Oidium mangiferae) of mango attacks the young floral branches and severely impairs fruit set. Disease development was highly influenced by weather conditions such as high relative humidity (>80%) and minimum temperature (>10°C). Consecutive occurrence of high relative humidity and minimum temperature above 10°C for about 70-80 h during the flowering season caused the powdery mildew infection. The possibility of forecasting the occurrence of powdery mildew for the predictive management of the disease is discussed.
