Abstract : Studies were made of the physical and chemical characteristics of mango fruits, cvs Banganapalli and Mulgoa, growing on the periphery of the tree quarters, compared with those of fully shaded fruits in the interior of the trees. Fruits exposed to sunlight were larger, and their percentage pulp, TSS content and sugar:acid ratio were greater.
