Abstract : This proceedings of the Interamerican Society for Tropical Horticulture contains 26 papers dealing with production, pest and disease management, as well as genetics of vegetable crops, fruit trees and ornamental plants. Topics discussed include the use of municipal reclaimed water for citrus irrigation, the effect of polyethylene and organic mulch on crop quality and yield of carambola, different strategies for profitable mango production in the new millennium and agrobacterium mediated transformation of grapefruit and oranges with the coat protein gene of citrus tristeza virus.
