Abstract : Buds of Dashehari mango in the on year were treated with GA at 10-1, 10-2, 10-3 and 10-4M in November and December. The highest concentration delayed bud break by over 2 months and 94% of the treated shoots produced vegetative growth. Flowering was delayed by all concentrations but the percentage of vegetative growth produced fell with the GA concentration. In buds where floral primordia were already formed, the panicles produced by GA at 10-2M were twice the length of those from untreated buds.
