Abstract : The effect of potassium nitrate on flowering in mango was evaluated in Venezuela. Potassium nitrate was applied at 6, 9 and 12% with 1, 2 or 3 applications on 30 October and 15 and 30 November. Flowering was increased with all the treatments. The greatest numbers of panicles per plant and flowers per panicle were observed with 3 applications of 9% potassium nitrate. Production was significantly increased with potassium nitrate.
