Abstract : Implementation is outlined of an integrated mango production programme in the Vale do São Francisco region, Brazil, under irrigation conditions. The effect of integrated pest management on the environment, legislation, and integrated control of insect pests, and bacterial and fungal pathogens are discussed. Data are tabulated on the number of trained personnel involved in the monitoring of pests and diseases.
