Mango crop under different drainage regimes in subhumid conditions.

Abstract : Study was conducted in the Piauí state, Brazil, to evaluate aeration and humidity levels of sandy loam soil at different drainage systems to determine drainage criteria for mango cultivar Keitt. Groundwater depth and water content in the soil profile were monitored during rainy seasons for 3 consecutive years (1997-99). No significant differences in crop yield were found between different drainage regimes.
