Occurrence of aphids causing damage in mango (Mangifera indica L.) in the valley of São Francisco.

Abstract : High levels of infestation by aphids causing significant damage to young leaves, buds and inflorescences during 1999-2000 is reported from the north-east of Brazil. Investigations conducted during February 2000 - January 2001 revealed occurrence of Aphis craccivora, A. gossypii and Toxoptera aurantii. This is the first record of A. craccivora and A. gossypii on mango in Brazil.
