Abstract : Thirty-three hybrid progenies of Neelum × Alphonso from the mango hybridization programme were evaluated to develop pickle purpose mango cultivar. On the basis of regular bearing habit, yield (268 fruits/tree), fruit weight (436.5 g), acidity (3.20), total soluble solids (8°Brix), and acceptable organoleptic score for pickle colour, flavour and texture, hybrid-4 (Konkan Ruchi) was found to be the best pickle purpose cultivar.
