Abstract : The effects of biofertilizers on the growth of mango rootstocks were investigated in an experiment conducted in Paiyur, Tamil Nadu, India [date not given]. The treatments comprised (i) Azospirillum at 400 g; (ii) phosphobacteria at 400 g; (iii) Azospirillum at 400 g + phosphobacteria at 400 g; and (iv) uninoculated control. All treatments were superior over the control, but the treatment with Azospirillum + phosphobacteria recorded the highest values for plant height (27.60 cm), root length (15.52 cm), number of leaves (15.20) stem width (3.18 cm), root volume (6.40 cc) and germination increase over the control (14.60%).
