Performance of different available mango cultivars for semi-arid region of West Bengal.

Abstract : The performance of 10 grafted mango cultivars (Alphonso, Chausa, Fazli, Gulabkhas, Himsagar, Krishnabhog, Langra, Meghlanthan, Piarafully and Safdar Pasand) was investigated in West Bengal in 1995-98. Himsagar produced the highest fruit yield (73.90 kg) and fruit quality, and had higher size and medium pulp percentage than the other cultivars. Fazli also had better growth, size and medium yield than the other cultivars.
