Abstract : A survey was conducted in Hisar, Haryana, India during 1989-90 to determine mites associated with fig, grape, guava, jujuba (Zizypus jujuba [Ziziphus jujuba]), lemon (Citrus limonia), mango, mousumi citrus (Citrus sinensis), mulberry (Morus alba), orange (C. reticulata), peach (Prunus persica) and pomegranate. Nineteen mite pests and 11 predatory mite species were observed on the crops. Jujuba had the highest number and types of mites, followed by lemon, fig and mousumi. The most dominant families among the mite pests were Tenuipalpidae and Tetranychidae. The important families of predatory mites were Phytoseiidae and Stigmaeidae. The majority of the mites are first reports in Haryana.
