Abstract : Twenty dessert mango cultivars including a local, and Kerala Agricultural University/improved types were selected for the study. A detailed study on the different quality parameters of mango such as physical characters, chemical, nutritional, and organoleptic qualities were investigated. The minimum fruit length was observed for the cultivar Pairi whereas highest score for fruit weight and flesh weight was observed for the cultivar Bangalora. The maximum value for density was observed for the cultivar Kottukonam. It was observed that the highest value for total soluble solids (TSS) was seen for the cultivar Panchasara Varikka. The maximum score of vitamin C was recorded from the cultivar Karpooramanga, whereas ?-carotene was highest in the cultivar Neelum. The cultivars Kalapady, Neelum, Baneshan, and Suvarnarekha had the minimum mean scores for quality attributes such as appearance, colour, flavour, taste, texture, and overall acceptability.
