Rehabilitation of frost-destroyed mango trees by regrafting at the collar zone.

Abstract : In order to rehabilitate 3-year-old mango trees, the canopies of which had been frozen to ground level, head- and side-grafting methods at the collar were investigated. The methods were adapted to the particular conditions of the various trees. The rate of graft take was satisfactory. The danger of losing the scion in the event of additional frost spells is small since the graft is performed below ground.
