Abstract : Results of this study showed that Nattrassia mangiferae (soft brown rot) and Colletotrichum gloeosporioides [Glomerella cingulata] (anthracnose) were responsible for the postharvest rot on fruits of mangoes from all the consignments. Mango fruits were already infected by both fungi in the orchards of all four farmers. Conditions of packhouse treatments and cold storage as well as the maturity of the fruits at harvest influenced the occurrence of both fungi. Packhouse treatments were not effective in reducing N. mangiferae infection.
