Abstract : This review covers the aetiology of mango malformation including the biotic and abiotic factors associated with the disease. Emphasis is given on the production of 'stress ethylene' by the plants as a factor contributing to the development of the disease. Notes are presented on the various approaches to control malformation in mangoes.
