Abstract : A study was conducted to estimate the infestation frequencies of Aleurodicus dispersus on 20 host plant species in the Republic of Congo. Observations carried out revealed the role of host species and their phenology on the seasonal abundance of the pests. The magnitude of the infestations seemed to be correlated with the number of elderly leaves. Hura crepitans, Persea americana, Acacia auriculiformis, Elaeis guineensis and Eucalyptus alba × Eucalyptus urophylla hybrid were very attractive for Aleurodicus dispersus oviposition, while Mangifera indica, Citrus reticulata, Carica papaya and Dacryodes edulis were less attractive for the whitefly oviposition.
