Abstract : Twenty mango cultivars from different agroclimatic zones of India, namely Dashehari, Langra, Fajri, S B Chausa, Mallika, Alphonso, Kesar, Mankurad, Fernandin, Vanraj, Baneshan, Bangalora, Mulgoa, Neelum, Swarnarekha, Zardalu, Bombai, Bombay Green, Himsagar and Krishna Bhog, were planted in 1980 and evaluated for their flowering, fruiting and yield attributes during 1997-99 under Bihar (India) conditions. The maximum panicle length (20.05 cm) was recorded in Bangalora, followed by Zardalu and Mallika. However, the highest percentage of hermaphrodite flowers (37.70%) was recorded in Zardalu. Bombai was the earliest in maturity period (5 June). Fajri matured the last, followed by Bangalora, S B Chausa and Mallika. The maximum cumulative yield per plant (732.43 kg) was recorded in Mallika, followed by Bangalora, Fajri and Himsagar. Mallika proved to be medium late cultivar on the basis of maturity time. It was available for marketing during the first fortnight of July when the leading cultivars of this region were almost over.
