Abstract : Observations on the ripening and storage of mangoes are reported. In order to prevent damage by anthracnose [Glomerella cingulata], powdery mildew [Oidium sp.] and scab it is advisable to spray periodically with Cu products. Storage at 12 deg C for 3 weeks followed by ripening at 23 deg for 4 days gave satisfactory results. The cvs Tommy Atkins and Mamey had the best storage quality.
