Abstract : The effects of the foliar application of zinc sulfate (0.4%), ferrous sulfate (0.4%), manganese sulfate (0.2%) and boric acid (0.2%), singly or in combination, on the quality of fruits from mango cv. Mallika were studied in Uttar Pradesh, India during 1994/95 and 1995/96. The micronutrients were applied at panicle emergence, pea stage of fruits, and fruit development. The combination of ferrous sulfate, zinc sulfate and boric acid resulted in the highest total soluble solid content, acidity (3.6%) and ascorbic acid content, whereas the combination of zinc sulfate, ferrous sulfate, manganese sulfate and boric acid recorded the greatest fruit weight and size.
