Abstract : In trials at 2 places, urea at 2-10% was applied at the full bloom or pea stage, followed by a second application after 5 weeks and 15 days, respectively. Fruit numbers and yields were highest with the 4% application rate at both stages. Fruit maturity was delayed by up to 15 days with the highest concentrations, compared with water-sprayed controls.
