Abstract : This paper focuses on the production of mangoes via an organic farming system, discusses the organic crop certification and standards, and describes the international market for organic products. The elements for organic farming (including the conversion period, design of the orchard, choice of cultivars and farming system, and soil health in organic mango orchards) are defined, as well as flower induction under organic farming, management of insects, diseases and weeds.
