A new family of Chalcidoidea (Insecta: Hymenoptera).

Abstract : The new family Euryischidae, based on the genus Euryischia (in the new subfamily Euryischinae) and including Myiocnema and Euryischomyia (in the new subfamily Myiocneminae) is proposed. A key to the subfamilies and genera, based on characters in the adult females, is provided. Descriptions are given for the adults of Euryischia indica Mani & Kurian, which has been found parasitising Icerya pilosa Green on sugar-cane and I. seychellarum (Westw.) on Cassia sp. in India, and for Euryischomyia alami sp.n., which is described from adult females parasitising Nipaecoccus vastator (Mask.) on mano in Karnataka in July 1968.
