Stone description of some mango varieties at Sabour (Bihar).

Abstract : Fifty mango cultivars were evaluated for stone characteristics in a trial conducted in Bihar, India during 1975-97. The lowest stone percentage (5.51%) was observed in cv. Puttu, while the highest (24.2%) was observed in cv. Pansera. The lowest breadth of 2.48 cm was observed in Aman Prince and the maximum (11.10 cm) was observed in Pansera. Cultivars Puttu and Nauratna showed fruit thickness in the range 1.63-2.80 cm.
