Abstract : Weather data during 1987-2000 in Kakori and Malihabad mango (M. indica) belt (Lucknow) of Uttar Pradesh, India, were used to develop logistic regression models for forewarning powdery mildew caused by Oidium mangiferae and were validated using data of recent years. The forewarning system thus obtained satisfactorily forewarns with the results obtained comparing well with the observed year-wise responses. Therefore, results confirmed statistically the findings of pathologists and also provided forewarning models for taking timely remedial measures and effective control of powdery mildew in mango.
