Abstract : Seedlings of 31 mango cultivars were evaluated against malformation (caused by F. moniliforme var. subglutinans [F. subglutinans]) from February to March 2002 and 2003 in 3 nurseries (Pandua, Chowgacha and Adisaptagram) in West Bengal, India, under natural conditions. The response of the cultivars to malformation ranged from tolerance to high susceptibility. Nine cultivars (Deshehari, Langra, Baranasi Langra, Lakshmanbogh, Lalphuli, Mohanbhog, Piaraphuli, Sarikhas and Totapuri) were tolerant, whereas 12 cultivars (Annapurna, Aruna, Ashima-Do-Phola, Biswanath Chatterjee, Bombay Yellow, Fazli, Golabkhas, Kohitoor, Prabha Shankar, Ratna, Safdar Pasand and Sindhu) were moderately tolerant.
